English as a Second Language (ESL) - International Studies program
To add to our student body’s rich makeup, Sierra
offers an ESL program designed for beginning through
advanced students.Important forms needed:
Each
day our international students are enrolled in three to
four English classes depending upon our diagnostic testing
and their ability level. We concentrate on written, listening,
and conversational skills. A student’s day also
involves a challenging mathematics program, physical education,
and, as they become more proficient in English, a science
class. Sierra ESL student then move on to our mainstream
program when English comprehension is reached.
